This mornings commute North on Elston included an unusual number of cars "leap frogging" in and out of the bike lanes. Just as I lost my cool with yet another driver trapped in the bike lanes around Irving Park, a Patty Wagon appeared at the following intersection. I road up, and asked the officers if they would ticket the driver cutting cyclists off in the bike lane. "No problem", they replied. They drove into oncoming traffic with their lights on and instructed the driver (now in the right turn lane) to stop and turn his car off.
